LESCO decides to buy 150,000 single, three-phase meters

Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has decided to purchase 150,000 single and three-phase meters for consumers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The company has started the process of purchasing smart single-phase, three-phase, AMI bidirectional and AMI smart meters at a cost of billions of rupees.
LESCO will initially purchase 65,270 single-phase smart meters 50000 AMI bi-directional while 24675 AMI smart meters will be purchased.
AMI bi-directional meters will be given to consumers for net metering project.
AMI smart will be used for new connections and replacement of burnt meters.
Single-phase smart meters will also be used for new connections and MCO.
