Patrick Schwarzenegger marries model Abby Champion
Patrick Schwarzenegger has officially tied the knot with longtime love Abby Champion in a romantic lakeside wedding in Idaho. The 31-year-old actor, who recently starred in the latest season of The White Lotus, exchanged vows with the 27-year-old model during an intimate ceremony at the ultra-exclusive Gozzer Ranch country club in Coeur d’Alene.
The couple, who have been together since 2015, said “I do” on a bluff overlooking Lake Coeur d’Alene in front of close family and friends. Abby stunned in a full-skirted sleeveless cream gown paired with a cathedral-length veil, while Patrick looked dapper in a cream tuxedo jacket and black dress trousers. Bridesmaids wore buttermilk yellow gowns, while the groom’s 11 groomsmen opted for classic black tuxedos.
Patrick’s proud parents, Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger, 78, and journalist Maria Shriver, 69, were both in attendance. The former couple reunited for the family celebration, with Arnold arriving in a sharp suit and Shriver dazzling in a crimson dress. Also present were Patrick’s sister Katherine Schwarzenegger and her husband, actor Chris Pratt, as well as Abby’s sister Baskin Champion. Abby’s parents, Greg and Laura, were seen joyfully mingling with guests, with Laura dressed in an elegant lilac gown.
The wedding festivities followed days of lakeside fun. In the run-up to the big day, Patrick was spotted cooling off in the 89-degree heat by floating in the lake, while Abby enjoyed a speedboat trip with friends. The couple, who frequently vacation at Gozzer Ranch, chose the resort’s Lake Club as their venue, a sought-after location that sits atop a dramatic basalt bluff with sweeping views of the water.
Earlier this year, Patrick admitted the couple would have wed sooner if not for his acting commitments. After landing the role of Saxon Ratliff in The White Lotus season three, he postponed the wedding to film in Thailand. Speaking on The Drew Barrymore Show, Patrick revealed Abby was supportive of the delay, as she was a fan of the hit series. “She was ecstatic,” he said, reflecting on how she encouraged him to seize the career opportunity.
The newlyweds first met in 2015 through mutual friends and confirmed their engagement in December 2023 with a joint Instagram post captioned “FOREVER AND EVER.” Abby celebrated her bachelorette party earlier this year in Rosemary Beach, Florida, with a weekend of bike rides, beach trips, and playful nods to her fiancé, including cutouts of Patrick’s face and luxury gift bags.
The Gozzer Ranch ceremony capped off years of shared milestones for the couple, from glamorous red-carpet appearances to family vacations in Idaho. As Patrick begins married life with Abby, he balances his Hollywood career with his family legacy as the son of one of the world’s most recognizable actors.
For the newlyweds, however, the lakeside vows in Idaho marked a new beginning. Surrounded by family, friends, and sweeping natural beauty, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Abby Champion sealed nearly a decade of love with a promise of forever.
