Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday accepted and at the same time regretted the decision of the Supreme Court (SC) regarding nullifying the ruling of the deputy speaker National Assembly.

In his address to the nation, PM Imran Khan said:  "Before announcing the verdict, the top court should have gotten through the content of the circular exposing the foreign conspiracy to topple his government.

He said: “I respect the judiciary. I was jailed during the movement for a free judiciary as I believe that the judiciary is the guardian of justice in the country.  “The deputy speaker prorogued the assembly and set aside the no-confidence motion in light of Article 5 of the Constitution.

“It was a very serious allegation that a foreign country wants to topple the government through a conspiracy.  I was a bit disappointed because this is a very big issue and there was no discussion on it. I am saddened at the haste with which the court made its decision.

He said the court should have taken suo motu notice of sale-purchase of MNAs.

The premier stressed: "All the people, even children too, the sale purchase of lawmakers and the rate of votes.

"What kind of democracy is this?  Which democracy in the world allows this?

"Supreme Court should have at least initiated the probe on the foreign conspiracy matter.

“The youth of Pakistan is our future and if they see leaders selling their conscience, what precedent are we setting for them?” he asked, adding that even MNAs who came on reserved seats have become sellouts.

He explained the threat letter, saying that It was a cipher that is a coded message sent by embassies to their country and this message cannot be shared with the media and public because if these codes are unveiled, all secret information about Pakistan will be unveiled.

He said that during the meeting between the Pakistani ambassador and the US official, the latter complained that Imran Khan should not have visited Russia  PM Imran Khan maintained that even before the no-confidence motion was filed against him, the US official had warned the Pakistani ambassador that if Imran Khan manages to save himself from the motion then Pakistan will have to face “severe consequences.”

He claimed that efforts for bringing in imported government are on but he won’t let it do.

He called upon the people to take to the streets on April 9 to show his strength.

He said the masses elected him into power and he would stand for them.

The premier mentioned that the US official knew beforehand that a no-confidence motion was to be submitted against him, adding that they also knew who would come to power if the Opposition manages to oust him.

PM Imran Khan leveled allegations against PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif, “who apparently has prepared his sherwani for the oath-taking ceremony,”  for being involved in this “foreign conspiracy.”
