Tehreek-e-Islami wins GB by-polls

After a close contest, Tehreek-e-Islami Pakistan (TIP) won the Gilgit-Biltistan by-election in the Nagar valley with a narrow margin of 278 votes from the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the by-polls in constituency GB-4 Nagar-I were held in peaceful manners and female voters also cast their votes in a big number.
As per unofficial results, TIP candidate Ayyub Waziri received 5341 votes and won the seat against the PTI candidate Agha Beheshti bagged only 5063 votes and remained second.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate Javed Hussain obtained 4194 votes for the third position.
As the returning officer did not announced the results formally, the Tehreek supporters besieged his office, making the officers call the police in.Police used force to disperse the supporters.
