Karachi Mayor takes notice of illegal advertisement drive

Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab directed to start an immediate crackdown against those involved in running an illegal advertising drive in the City, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Mayor Murtaza Wahab directed the Senior Director Karachi Metropolitan Corporation to remove all illegal banners and signboards from all the main roads who are falling in the jurisdiction of Karachi Municipal Corporation.

He warned that cases would be registered against these persons. 

Political flags will also be removed from the city's main highways, Mayor Karachi said.

He warned that legal action would be taken against companies running advertising campaigns on roads without permission. 

Those who eclipse the beauty of the city will be dealt with strictly, Mayor Karachi warned.
