Police crackdown on Eid offal dumping; Four arrested in Karachi
In a strong move to ensure cleanliness during Eid-ul-Adha, Karachi’s District Central Police launched a crackdown on individuals illegally dumping animal offal in public areas, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Sunday.
According to the report, acting under Section 144, the Samanabad police arrested four people on Eid day and registered FIRs under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
SHO Samanabad, Rana Ajmal, confirmed the arrests and stated that police mobiles are patrolling the area.
“Anyone violating Section 144 by throwing offal on roads is being taken into custody,” he added.
The crackdown was carried out under the directives of SSP Central, with Assistant Commissioner Gulberg actively accompanying the police teams.
Authorities say the operation will continue across the district to maintain hygiene and public order during the Eid days.
