Bilawal to hold ‘one-on-one’ meeting with PM Shehbaz today
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will call on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at PM House in Islamabad Monday (today) evening, reported 24NewsHD TV channel, quoting sources.
According to the sources in the PPP, Bilawal Bhutto will hold one-on-one meeting with PM Shehbaz in PM House at 5:00 pm.
During the meeting, Bilawal Bhutto will try to convince the prime minister to defuse the situation in Azad Kashmir through talks.
The PPP chairman is also expected to convey his reservations regarding the federal budget.
It may be mentioned here that a PPP delegation, led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, had expressed its reservations related to taxes during a pre-budget meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on Sunday.
The meeting was held at the Zardari House in Islamabadwhich was also attended by Sherry Rehman, Naveed Qamar, Murad Ali Shah and Jam Khan Shoro.
“Matters related to the budget were discussed during the meeting,” a PPP statement said.
The discussion also covered expenditure, development spending priorities, including the Public Sector Development Programme, as well as broader economic priorities such as fiscal sustainability, public welfare, development initiatives, and inclusive growth.
