PM refuses to accept Punjab CM Buzdar resignation
Prime Minister Imran Khan Tuesday refused to accept the resignation tendered by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources privy to the development revealed that the chief minister had tendered his resignation to the prime minister but the latter refused to accept it, directing him to continue working in the same capacity.
“I am, and will always be, with Imran Khan and the party,” said Usman Buzdar.
“I am grateful to you that you made me the Chief Minister of Punjab,” he expressed his gratitude to the prime minister.
Meanwhile, Punjab government’s spokesman Hasaan Khawar stated that Chief Minister Usman Buzdar never spoke any word against Aleem Khan, nor did he proposed Parvez Elahi’s name for his appointment as Punjab CM.
“Some TV channels have broadcasted news stories in this regard which are completely baseless,” he said and added that the chief minister had a firm belief in the leadership of Imran Khan.
“All conspiracies of the rivals will fail as the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is united under the leadership of Imran Khan,” he stated.
