Punjab decides to improve English education in govt schools

The Punjab government has decided to improve English education in government schools, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Friday.

In this regard, an amount of Rs500 million has been approved for improvement of English language in government schools.

Task of implementation of the project has been entrusted to Punjab Education, Curriculum Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA).

Special training of teachers will be provided under the programme.

Focus will be on improving the speaking and reading skills of students.

It has been proposed to introduce modern learning materials and digital teaching models.

Programme will be started in government schools across the province in a phased manner.

Statement and monitoring will also be improved under educational reforms.
