November 8, 2021 06:04 PM

Journalists staged a sit-in in front of the main gate of the National Assembly after their entry was banned in the parliament on the eve of military top brass' briefing to the Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Parliamentary reporters termed their entry ban as a ‘dictatorial attitude’ of the government in the name of security.

A huddle of military and civil leadership was held in the National Assembly and top military leadership gave a briefing to the committee comprising MNAs and senators on the current national security issues especially related to the TLP and FATF.

Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) leaders Shehzada Zulfiqar, Nasir Zaidi, Afzal Butt and others also condemned the banned on journalists to cover the PCNS meeting.
