Newly-wed girl dies after in-laws forced her to drink acid in Wazirabad
The in-laws of a newlywed girl murdered her by forcing her to drink acid in Wazirabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The incident took place in the Kalaske area of Wazirabad.
According to details, bride Rukhsar, a resident of Gujranwala married Altaf, a resident of Klaske, on September 12, 2025.
Her in-laws were annoyed as on her return, she did not bring clothes for them.
The brother-in-law of Rukhsar and her mother taunted Rukhsar for her act.
The brother of the bride accused Altaf Hussain and his mother, Ghulam Zohra, of forcing her sister to drink acid.
Later, Rukhsar was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) where she breathed her last.
Ahmad Nagar Chattha Police Station arrested the husband of the deceased and his mother.
In his statement, the husband of Rukhsar rejected the allegation and said that no one forced her to drink acid; instead, she drank acid on her own.
