Karachi reports first death from Dengue during ongoing year

The first death from dengue in the country during the ongoing year has been reported from Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to a report released by the Sindh health department on Thursday, 20-year-old girl, a resident of PIB Colony, who had been admitted to a hospital on March 11, died from the disease on March 16.

Out of 198 cases reported from Sindh during the ongoing year so far, 163 have been reported from Karachi alone.

The department has urged people to take precautionary measures in order to protect themselves from the disease.
