Huge fire breaks out at Karachi chemical factory

A fire broke out in Siddique chemical factory in SITE area of Karachi on Saturday where seven people received burn injuries as the fire tenders are trying to extinguish the blaze, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The fire tenders were rushed from all over the city and 12 vehicles of the fire brigade were engaged in extinguishing the blaze.
The Rangers personnel also reached the chemical factory site where people were still trapped inside the factory and trying to get out from the building on their own.
Later, Chief Fire Officer Mubeen Ahmed clarified that no person was left in the factory building.

Karachi Port Trust said fire hydrants have been sent to the fire incident’s area.
Karachi Waterboard Managing Director Asadullah Khan declared a state of emergency on Napa and Sakhi Hassan Hydrants of Karachi.
“Water supply to the fire brigade will continue till the fire is brought under control while officers of Hydrants Cell have also been dispatched to the spot,” MD Waterboard said.
Rescue 1122 said injured people have been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and Civil Hospital in Karachi.
