Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs to be sentenced on October 3

A federal judge has set October 3, 2025, as the sentencing date for music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, following his conviction on federal charges of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution.

US District Judge Arun Subramanian approved the date after a request from Combs' legal team, with prosecutors and probation officers also agreeing. The sentencing comes after an eight-week trial in Manhattan where Combs, 55, was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges but convicted on two counts under the Mann Act.

According to prosecutors, the charges stem from Combs’ alleged coercion of former girlfriends — Casandra "Cassie" Ventura Fine and a woman identified as "Jane" into drug-fueled sexual encounters with male escorts, often across state and international borders.

Although jurors cleared Combs of the most serious charges, each of the two convictions carries a maximum 10-year sentence, meaning he could face up to 20 years in prison. Prosecutors estimate a sentence between 51 to 63 months, while the defense argues for two years.

Dombs has remained held without bail at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center since his arrest in September 2024. Judge Subramanian denied bail, citing witness testimony of violence and the rapper’s "disregard for the rule of law."

The high-profile case has drawn global attention, not only for its celebrity connections but also for its disturbing details of abuse, coercion, and "freak offs" – alleged sex parties involving drugs and escorts. Combs has denied all allegations and may request the court to overturn the conviction before sentencing.
