Two sister die, brother critical after eating poisonous food in Khanpur

Two sisters lost their lives while the health condition of their five-year old brother was critical after consuming poisonous food in Khanpur city in Rahim Yar Khan district on Wednesday. 

According to report, three children were brought to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital after eating poisonous food. The two died in hospital during treatment who were identified as three-year-old Adan Fatima and one-year-old Anaya while their five-year-old brother Subhan's health condition is also in danger. 

Later the the affected children were transferred to Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan for further medical care. 

The victim family claimed their children had eaten Haleem and drank milk at home. After that their health began to deteriorate rapidly. Deputy District Health Officer Dr. Shafqat Khan Korai said that food samples have been sent for testing to determine the exact cause of the poisoning.
