Budget 2021-22: Govt allocates Rs100b for Kamyab Jawan Programme

Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen on Wednesday remained busy in meetings with government officials and economic experts as the budget 2021-21 preparations entered the final phase, reported 24News HD TV channel.
The finance minister discussed with the party leaders the allocation of huge funds for the youth. Shaukat Tareen met with Usman Dar, the chief of Kamyab Nojwan programme. They decided to allocate Rs100 billion for the Kamyab Nojwan programme. The funds will be distributed for the micro-businesses this year. They decided to achieve the target set for the year 2023 during the current year. Some four categories have been decided for the distribution of the funds. The government will provide the amount from Rs 100 thousand to Rs 50 million under the programme.
On the occasion, the finance minister said that the government would make sure the continuity of funds under the programme. He said they were enhancing the funds for the programme. He said Kamyab Nojwan Programme was a flagship project of the government and they would not disappoint the youth in this regard. He further said under the banner of the Kamyab Nojwan Programme, Kamyab Kisaan and Kamyab Karobar programmes would also be started.
Usman Dar said that they had achieved the target of distributing Rs10 billion and now the distribution of Rs 100 billion would continue. He thanked the finance minister for his interest in Kamyab Nojwan Programme. He said PM Imran Khan had ordered him for making efforts to uplift the youth. He said the government was making direct investments in the youth of the country.
