PDMA issues rain alert for Northern Punjab

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority Punjab (PDMA) on Monday issued a weather alert forecasting rain in upper areas of the province over the coming days.

According to the authority, rainfall is expected in the Pothohar Plateau, Murree, and the Galiyat along with surrounding areas.

PDMA said the northern parts of Punjab are likely to receive rain between March 9 and March 11.

The authority also indicated that temperatures in the plains of the province are expected to rise in the coming days. According to the advisory, temperatures in the plains may increase by three to four degrees Celsius above normal levels.

PDMA has advised citizens to remain cautious and urged them to contact its helpline at 1129 in case of any emergency.
