A Gilgit-Baltistan cricket team has filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking inclusion in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), 24NEWSHD TV reported Saturday.
Gilgit-Baltistan cricket team GB Markhors Patron-in-Chief Rashid Alam Farooqi's petition has requested the Supreme Court to take suo motu notice and give orders to Pakistan Cricket Board to include the GB Markhors in the PSL.
The petition states that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan have always made Pakistan proud despite the lack of facilities.
He further said that Gilgit-Baltistan is at the forefront in every field of Pakistan but is not included in the PSL.
Like other parts of the country, there is no lack of talent in the youth of Gilgit-Baltistan.
GB people are citizens of Pakistan and not giving a chance to show their talent in the field of cricket in PSL is an injustice.
