All 79,000 Hajj applications declared successful

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that 79,000 Hajj applications submitted to date have been declared successful, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday.

Over 10,000 new applications were received during the past week's extension, according to a ministry spokesperson.  

To fill the remaining few thousand seats, the ministry has decided to continue accepting applications on a "first come, first served" basis. The acceptance of new applications will cease as soon as the official Hajj quota is completed, the spokesperson added.  

Pilgrims are advised to obtain a computerized receipt from the bank upon submitting their applications. This receipt, which includes the date and time of submission, will serve as the basis for the "first come, first served" selection process.  

The Sponsorship Hajj Scheme will also operate on a similar selection principle. Details about the second installment for Hajj expenses will be communicated once the official quota has been filled.  

The ministry has encouraged pilgrims to use the "Pak Hajj Mobile App" for the latest updates and instructions related to their Hajj journey.  

This latest announcement brings relief and clarity to thousands of aspiring pilgrims, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the selection process.
