Muneeb Butt cleared in alleged kidnapping, crypto robbery case
Pakistani actor Muneeb Butt has reportedly been declared innocent in the alleged kidnapping and Rs2.49 million cryptocurrency robbery case after an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) found no evidence linking him to the matter.
According to reports, investigators informed the court that their inquiry did not establish any connection between the actor and the alleged crime.
Muneeb Butt was facing legal proceedings in an alleged kidnapping and cryptocurrency extortion case registered in Karachi.
According to the FIR, the complainant alleged he was abducted at gunpoint and forced to transfer 8,600 USDT, while police claimed Muneeb helped some of the suspects evade arrest.
The actor has denied the allegations, saying he is innocent and the Anti-Terrorism Court has granted and extended his interim pre-arrest bail as the investigation continues.
Muneeb Butt is a well-known Pakistani television actor who has appeared in several popular dramas.
He is married to actress Aiman Khan and the couple is among the country's most followed celebrity pairs on social media.
