No result in talks between govt employees, ministers

The second round of negotiations between the government employees and ministers’ committee has remained futile, prompting the employees to give a protest call, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Reportedly, the government employees have made some demands to be accommodated in the upcoming budget 2021/22 regarding the raise in their salaries. They met the ministers committee to present their demands in Islamabad on Thursday. But the ministers ignored their demands. Fumed over the rejection of their demands, the employees announced a sit-in outside the Parliament House on the eve of the budget presentation in the National Assembly tomorrow.
They announced to stage a sit-in at 1:30pm. President of All Government Employees Grand Alliance Rehman Bajwa would lead the protest.
Mr Bajwa asked the government to fulfil the promises it made to the workers. He said that government should honour the agreement reached between the ministers committee and employees.
He demanded to raise the salaries of all employees across the country.
The Islamabad administration has come into action after the sit-in call outside the parliament.
The government employees had also staged a protest on Feb 10 this year. The federal capital had become the battleground during the protest. A policeman was killed and several protesters were injured in the protest.
