A local leader of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) in Kharian has been arrested for illegal logging, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The PTI Kharian leader and Chairman Reconciliation Committee Chaudhry Ilyas Marala was involved in stealing trees from the government forest.

According to details, Chaudhry Ilyas Marala has been arrested for his ‘illegal activities’ at a government forest site on GT Road. A case has been registered against the accused and five other persons at the Kharian Police Station Saddar under Section 379 TPP at the request of the Forest Guard Atif Raza.
