CM Azam Khan warns no violent protest will be allowed in KP

Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Azam Khan said damaging private and public property under the guise of protest will not be allowed under any circumstances.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, CM Azam Khan addressed the provincial cabinet meeting and ensured the members that the routine life of the citizens will not be affected in any case.
CM Azam said violent protests have been going on in some parts of the province since yesterday and private and public property has been damaged.
He said protest and freedom of expression is everyone's democratic, political and constitutional right and these protest should be done in a peaceful and democratic manner.
Azam Khan said violent protests are not in anyone's interest, adding that the safety of people's life and property should be ensured in every way as establishing law and order and protecting the lives and property of the people is the primary responsibility of the government.
The CM said the KP government cannot neglect its responsibility in any case. He suggested the demonstrators must exercise their democratic right to protest but avoid disturbing public order and damaging property.
He warned if the protesters try to take the law into their own hands, then the law will move and action will be taken against them.
He assured the police officials that all necessary resources will be provided to the police force to maintain law and order.
