The authorities have ruled out restoration of the internet service for now, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The internet service were suspended in major cities on Tuesday following countrywide violent protests broke out against the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

Punjab Additional Home Secretary made it clear that the internet service will not be revived at the moment.

Meanwhile, Punjab Home Department has detained 17 PTI workers for one month.
