The former Punjab chief minister Usman Buzdar has failed again to appear before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

The NAB Lahore had summoned Usman Buzdar on Tuesday at 11:00 am in an inquiry pertaining to corruption, corrupt practices, and assets beyond means. But he apologized for his appearance. Therefore, the NAB summoned him again to appear before the combined investigation team at NAB Lahore on Wednesday (today).

NAB officials waited for him from 11 AM to 4:30 PM.

According to the sources, NAB Lahore has started consultation with reference to re-summoning Usman Buzdar.

Sources claimed that the accused had earlier appeared before the NAB Lahore but was unable to satisfy the investigation team of NAB Lahore.

The NAB team had earlier asked Usman Buzdar to answer 30 questions related to the inauguration of Rs 40 billion projects in one day and the award of a contract for the construction of a dam in Dera Ghazi (DG) Khan to the persons of his choice.

The Bureau has asked Buzdar to submit a 30-point questionnaire while appearing before the graft watchdog.

Usman Buzdar was accused of awarding contracts to favorites for the construction of a dam in Dera Ghazi Khan (DG Khan).

NAB has also asked him to provide an answer regarding the alleged favoritism in awarding the dam construction contract to preferred individuals in DG Khan.
