Pakistani rupee gains another Rs1.96 as dollar's downward march continues

While continuing its downward march in the interbank market, the US dollar lost another Rs1.96 to the Pakistani rupee reached Rs217.96 at the close of interbank trading on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The dollar has lost its value Rs21.75 since September 2022 from Rs239.71 to Rs217.96.

The dollar also lost its value in the open market by Rs3 and is being traded for Rs220. The dollar value has been reduced by Rs25.50 since September.  

Earlier on Friday, the Pakistani rupee had outclassed the US dollar in the early interbank trading.

As per the forex dealers, the Pakistani rupee surged by Rs2.02 as the business came to a halt for the week in the interbank market. The greenback ended the day at Rs219.92.

Experts had said that the hoarders were then bringing their dollars into the market.

On Wednesday, the US dollar ended the day at Rs221.94, down by Rs2.
