Punjab unveils AI-powered EcoBot for environmental protection
The Punjab Department of Environmental Protection has launched a modern EcoBot, enabling citizens to become guardians of their own environment, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The EcoBot is being introduced as a new means of direct communication between citizens and the Department of Environment. Under the supervision of Secretary Environment Salwat Saeed, the project will be made fully functional.
According to the department’s spokesperson, citizens will now be able to check their city’s air quality with just one message. Real-time Air Quality Index (AQI) data for major cities like Lahore, Faisalabad, and Multan will be available.
Spokesperson Sajid Bashir stated that the AI-powered EcoBot will also communicate with citizens. People can now ask, “How is the air in my city?” and receive an instant reply.
The EcoBot will provide environmental awareness and guidance for a healthy lifestyle. The Punjab government’s new goal is to create a cleaner, greener, and healthier Punjab through technology.
