T20I Asia Cup: India clinch record-breaking win against UAE

India demolished the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in their opening match of the Asia Cup 2025, securing a commanding victory in Dubai on Wednesday, 24NewsHD TV reported.

The encounter turned into a completely one-sided affair as the Indian team outclassed their opponents with both ball and bat.

Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to field first, a decision that quickly proved decisive.

The UAE batting line-up crumbled under pressure, managing just 57 runs in 13.1 overs, their lowest-ever total in Asia Cup T20 history.

Only opener Alishan (22) and captain Waseem (19) showed brief resistance, while the rest of the batting order failed to reach double figures.

The disciplined Indian bowling unit dominated proceedings, with left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav leading the charge by claiming four wickets.

All-rounder Shivam Dube provided valuable support with three scalps, ensuring the UAE had no chance of recovery.

Chasing a modest target of 58, India wasted no time in wrapping up the contest.

Despite losing one early wicket, the Indian batters overpowered the UAE bowling attack, reaching the target in just 4.3 overs.

The emphatic win not only highlighted India’s superior strength but also set the tone for their campaign in Group A, which also features Pakistan and Oman.
