Political interfering in transfers and postings in southern Punjab came to spotlight, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Thursday.

ACE DGK Region Director Amjad Shoaib Tareen could not stay on the post for 24 hours. The director general of Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment has withdrawn his posting orders. 

He was also given additional charge of the ACE Multan region. The DGK region is of pivotal importance because of two asset-related-cases of ex-CM Usman Buzdar.

Amjad Tareen was Deputy Commissioner of Muzaffargarh in Buzdar rule and he too served as additional health secretary in southern Punjab.
