The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has sealed over 100 illegal car showrooms in the commercial centres of Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The Enforcement Cell and Building Control Cell of the CDA sealed the car showrooms.

The CDA had issued notices to the owners of the illegal showrooms on complaints of citizens.

The action was taken against the showrooms when the notices expired.

A total of 130 showrooms were sealed in F10, F11 Blue Area and G8.

“The showroom owners were doing business by parking their vehicles in the parking lot,” the CDA chairman said.

“The owners of the showrooms did not take the vehicles into their premises on which they were sealed,” he added.

A thorough survey was conducted by the CDA after which the decision was taken to seal the showrooms.
