The assistant commissioner (AC) Secretariat on Monday issued an advertisement for the auction of a property belonging to former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan in a NAB reference, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

As per the advertisement, the auction of two pieces of land owned by the former prime minister in Mohrra Noor, spreading over 248 kanals and eight marlas and 405 kanals and three marlas, will be held in the Union Council Bhara Kahu today.

The advertisement read that bidders could visit the site of the properties before their auction, and that the concerned Patwari would provide the bidders with all the information they required.

It was further stated in the ad that the auction would be held as per the terms and conditions approved by the evaluation committee.

However, so far, nobody has arrived to participate in the auction.

PTI leader says auction appears to have been planned in secret

On the other hand, commenting on the sudden development, PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja said that the party leadership had only today learned about the auction of Imran’s property in Bani Gala and that it appeared to have been planned secretly. “The people looking after the Bani Gala residence of the former prime minister are completely in the dark about it,” he said, adding the party’s legal team was trying to find out whether the news was true.

“Soon, the exact picture will be clear.”
