LHC rejects Hamza’s bail plea

The Lahore High Court has rejected a plea for bail by PML-N leader and son of former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif, Hamza Shehbaz, in a case of assets beyond means.

The plea was rejected by two-member LHC bench, headed by Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi, on Tuesday.

On February 6, Hamza was granted bail in the Ramazan Sugar Mill case, in which he and his father Shehbaz Sharif, the then Punjab chief minister, are accused of making a drain in Chiniot which benefitted the sugar mill.
