Only female cops can probe women cases: SC

The Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered to ensure the provision of all-women investigative officers (IOs) in women cases, directing Inspector General Punjab to paste the relevant SOPs in all the police stations.

The apex court also directed to send the Urdu translation of these SOPs to all the Station House Officers

The court also ordered action against the concerned SHO who appointed a male IO in a woman’s case.

The court also disposed of the application about the woman who was kidnapped following taking a divorce from the husband.
