Two goods trucks torched in Karachi

Unidentified persons on Tuesday torched two goods trucks in Landhi No. 4 and 6 and also attacked a goods trawler in Liaquatabad area of Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

During the incident, front part of one truck was completely damaged while rear side of the truck was remained safe.

In another incident, some unidentified persons tried to set fire a goods trawler in Al-Karam Square, Liaquatabad.

Due to joint efforts of local police and residents of the area the fire was brought under control.

President of Transporters of Goods Association Tariq Gujjar said some unknown persons trying to incite people to attack on goods transports. He warned that this kinds of acts will definitely harm law and order situation in the city.

He further said that goods transporters did not allow to enter in areas of Karachi city while only limited permission was granted to selected goods transporters involved in import and export business during day time. Tariq Gujjar urged the people not to attack goods transports.
