All activities at Lahore schools banned during winter vacations
The District Education Authority Lahore has imposed a complete ban on all academic and extracurricular activities in schools during the winter holidays, officials confirmed on Sunday.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Education Lahore, Nazir Hussain Cheena, warned that no educational institution will be allowed to remain open during the break.
“Any school found violating the rules will be sealed on the spot,” he said.
To enforce the ban, CEO Cheena has constituted monitoring committees at the tehsil and city levels, comprising three District Education Officers (DEOs), 13 Deputy DEOs, and 50 Assistant Education Officers (AEOs).
These teams will conduct inspections and ensure compliance.
He further stated that strict action will be taken against any school or academy that breaches the regulations.
Parents with complaints can submit requests directly to the CEO Education Office through the designated complaint cell.
