Udit Narayan takes a dig at his kissing controversy with girl at concert
Acclaimed Bollywood singer Udit Narayan has lately attended the trailer launch of the upcoming film Pintu Ki Pappi, where he took a humorous dig at his kissing controversy with a girl at his concert, which has won huge attention on the internet.
An interesting video from the event popped up on social media in which, surprisingly, he was spotted in a jovial mood while expressing his remarks over the seemingly funny title of the movie. Saying: “It is beautiful title 'Pintu Ki Pappi, ' not ‘Udit Ki Pappi.’ It is a coincidence that it has to be released. By the way, the video (relating to the kissing scandal) is almost two years old and was captured in Australia. I appreciate you all for watching this.”
In case the readers are not aware, singer Udit Narayan had landed himself in hot water due to his kissing scene with a female fan on his lips during the concert and now responded to the controversy.
The viral videos show Udit performing 'Tip Tip Barsa Paani' when a slew of fans gathered around to take selfies with him, out of which one die-hard fan hugged him.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, addressing the controversy, Udit Narayan defended himself. He stated that fan frenzy often leads to such moments. He added, "Hum log aise nahi hain, hum decent log hai." (We are not like this; we are decent people).
Udit then went on to explain that such incidents do happen and they should not be paid much heed to.
“Things happen at crowded events despite security presence. It shouldn't be given so much attention,” he noted.
Further, Udit elaborated, noting, “There could be an ulterior motive behind the controversy as the family’s clean image might make him a target.”
