PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui passes away

Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and parliamentary figure, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, passed away in Islamabad after a brief illness, party sources confirmed on Monday. He was under treatment at a private hospital for the past two weeks.

Senator Siddiqui, who served as the parliamentary leader of PML-N in the Senate, was widely respected across party lines for his intellect, composure, and longstanding service to public life.

A close associate and confidant of PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, Siddiqui played a significant role in shaping the party’s parliamentary strategy and political messaging. Known for his measured tone and commitment to democratic values, he was regarded as one of the party’s senior-most voices in the upper house.

Born in Lahore, Irfan Siddiqui was not only a seasoned politician but also a prominent columnist and educationist before entering politics. His thoughtful approach and deep understanding of Pakistan’s political landscape earned him recognition both within and outside his party.
