PPP leaders Arshad Ghurki, Rahim Dad pass away
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leaders Arshad Ghurki from Lahore and Rahim Dad Khan from Mardan have passed away on Saturday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Chaudhry Muhammad Arshad Ghurki has served the nation from the PPP as a member of parliament in the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s regime in 1988-1990.
He was the younger brother of former minister late Khalid Ghurki and brother-in-law of ex lady minister Samina Khalid Ghurki from the party.
The deceased was the vice-chairman of the Ghurki Trust Hospital and had been undergoing treatment there for a few days.
The PPP’s former provincial head and senior minister in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Rahim Dad Khan died in Peshawar on Saturday.
Rahim started his political career with the PPP at the beginning of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s struggle in 1989 and was elected in the polls of 1977, 1988, 1990, and 2008 from the party.
His funeral will be offered in Mardan tomorrow (Sunday) at 2 pm.
