Deputy Commissioner declares Lahore as ‘polio free’
Lahore Deputy Commissioner Muddassir Riaz Malik has announced that Lahore is now a polio free metropolis, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
He said Lahore became polio free on Monday and it was a huge achievement of district administration and health department.

We must all work together to maintain this landmark & continue to vaccinate our children.
Lahore DC said, “Environmental samples of five drain stations including Gulshan Ravi Drain, Outfall Pump Stations and Multan Road came back negative.”
It may be recalled that last time in 2017 Lahore was declared a polio free city when Muhammad Usman was Lahore Deputy Commissioner.
The TV channel sources said the incumbent Lahore Division Commissioner Muhammad Usman during his tenure as Secretary Health continued the anti-polio drive despite reservations and advisory of NCOC.
