Minor girl raped in Upper Swat

A minor girl was raped in Matta area of Upper Swat, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.  

According to police, 7-year-old Maria's condition is critical and she is undergoing treatment in hospital.

Keeping in view her critical condition, the minor girl was immediately shifted to the operation theatre.

Police registered a case and arrested the accused.

There are intense anger and outrage in the area over the incident and locals demanded exemplary punishment for the accused. 

According to the police, further investigation into the incident is underway.

Authorities have taken notice of the incident and the victim girl is being provided with the best medical facilities.
