Prime Minister Shehbaz Sarif has listed the coalition government’s feats in 16-month rule, the 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Friday.

Addressing the participants of a dinner the premier held in honour of the coalition partners in Islamabad, he said: “The coalition faced many difficulties including the challenge of inflation however, the allies solved problems.

He added: Despite immense difficulties and challenges, the union remained intact.

“The government was forced to increase the prices of petroleum products due to t IMF conditions.”

He came down hard on the former prime minister and his party for the last year’s long march and sit-ins the PTI held to mount pressure on the coalition to hold a snap poll.

“Sit-ins, long marches in the name of protest created chaos and uncertainty  After May 9, the ugly faces were exposed.

“The cypher controversy was created to quench the thirst for power and the minds of the masses were plagued

“The opposition just went for smearing the government and kept calling the coalition a thief.”

"About the caretaker PM, he said he will invite Raja Riaz again tomorrow to take up the matter with him.

He added: “Unfortunately, the president wrote me a letter today; “Perhaps the president did not read the Constitution and he does not know that the process takes days.

“The president's secretary has now apologized for it”
