Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi has been allotted portfolio after months of waiting, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division after getting Prime Minister’s approval on Monday, Tariq Fatemi has been given the portfolio of coordination, eight months after his appointment. 

Tariq Fatemi’s status will be equal to a minister of state.

The prime minister had appointed Fatemi as special assistant of foreign affairs, but within hours of his appointment the portfolio was withdrawn.
