A police constable named Ghulam Qadir has been martyred during an encounter with bandits in Jamshoro, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday. 

The police team was on routine patrolling when they came face to face with bandits. During and exchange of fire between police and bandits a Ghulam Qadir embraced martyrdom.

SSP Jamshoro Imran Qureshi said that the martyred police constable was hit by a bullet in the chest. He said that the body of the martyred police constable has been shifted to DHQ hospital.

SSP Jamshoro Imran said that police have placed barriers in the area and started a search operation to arrest the bandits.

In a separate incident, a police encounter happened in Larkana during which two robbers have been arrested in injured condition. The arrested robbers have been identified as Roshan Barohi and Bashan Korai. Both robbers were involved in multiple crimes within the precincts of the Khairpur and Qambar Shahdadkot districts.

In another incident, a robber has been killed and his two accomplices managed to flee after an encounter with police in Khairpur.

The slain robber has been identified as Shahnawaz alias Guddu. Police have recovered the illegal weapon, mobile phones and cash from the slain robber.

SSP Khairpur Rohal Khan Khoso said that the slain robber was wanted in several cases of kidnapping for ransom and robbery.
