PTI core committee demands ECP allot bat election symbol immediately

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Core Committee has demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issue the ‘bat’ election symbol immediately.

According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the committee expressed satisfaction with the decision of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on the appeal against the decision on intra-party elections.

The ‘bat’ symbol is the political identity of millions of voters, a party statement said, adding that the Tehreek-e-Insaf is the guardian of the right and the strength of the federation and the delay in issuance of it electoral symbol is a matter of deep concern.

It stressed that the delay is the biggest hindrance in conducting fair and transparent elections but the party will stand firm against the ‘the biased, irresponsible and unacceptable attempts’ to irreparably damage the credibility and security of democracy by such acts’.

The core committee deliberated upon the electoral and political strategy as per the directives and the vision of the party founder and the participants of the meeting agreed to carry forward the peaceful campaign to prepare the people for the elections.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has an unparalleled history of peaceful political struggle, they said, adding that braving the worst oppression and fascism, they will continue their political activities though the party is aware of the attempts to to postpone the elections The party core stressed that the workers should keep a close eye on these efforts and get ready for the elections.
