Babar Azam retains No 1 spot in ICC ODI rankings as Shubman Gill closes in

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released its latest ODI rankings, with Pakistan’s Babar Azam maintaining his No 1 position in the batting charts.

However, India’s Shubman Gill has moved up one spot to second place, closing the gap with Babar Azam to just five points, making the contest for the top ranking more intense. 

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman is currently ranked 13th among batters.

In the bowling department, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan remains the No 1 bowler, while Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi is placed at fourth, and Haris Rauf ranks at 15th.
