Cable operators congratulate Ambreen Jan on appointment as PEMRA Chairperson

Cable Operators Association of Pakistan Chairman Khalid Arain has congratulated Ambreen Jan on her appointment as Chairperson of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday. 

In a statement issued by the association, Khalid Arain said that Ambreen Jan is a seasoned bureaucrat who has been performing important responsibilities in the Ministry of Information for a long time and it can be hoped that as Chairperson PEMRA, Ambreen Jan will play her full role in resolving the long-standing problems faced by cable operators across the country. 

Khalid Arain said that cable operators across Pakistan are facing severe financial difficulties. 

The problems they face in the past could not be heard, however, the appointment of a woman to this important position for the first time is welcome. 

He said that cable operators across the country are ready to play their full role in the development of the country in cooperation with PEMRA.
