NEPRA extends industrial support package for K Electric

National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) approved the request for extension of Industrial Support Package (ISP) for the K-Electric, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

NEPRA sent its verdict to the federal government that K-Electric wot charge Rs12.96 per unit.

As per Nepra decision, the tariff will be applied to B1, 2, 3, 4 and B5 customers and rate will be applied on higher power consumption in comparison to March 2019 to February 2020.

The Industrial Support Package will be applicable from 1st July 2021 to 31st October 2023.

However, Nepra said that the package will not apply to the zero-rated category of the industrial customers in fiscal year 2022.

Pertinent to note that additional subsidy of Rs11.20 billion is estimated for the package of K-Electric industrial consumers.
