Atiqa Odho’s 'fiery' remarks about Ali Raza’s hairy chest ignite serious debate on social media
Senior Pakistani actress Atiq Odho, during her latest appearance in popular show Kya Drama Hai, criticized male actor Ali Raza for his hairy chest during his ongoing drama serial Dastak, which has sparked a serious debate session on all over social media.
Some people argue that Atiqa should not body-shame the male artist publicly, while others support her opinion, suggesting that a hairy chest might not be so pleasing on Television.
The opinionated star, while expressing her insight regarding Ali Raza’s performance in drama serial Dastak, said in the show: “Before I go into this, I wanted to say a thing about Ali Raza that it’s okay to wear your disco jackets — they might be in fashion, they might be trending — but at least don’t show your hairy chest. I get put off seeing men with hairy chests. Go get waxing done — hairy chests are the biggest turn-off. Please, do wax your chest. I can even take you to the salon! What’s really bothering me in Dastak is Ali Raza’s partially unbuttoned shirt. It’s not at all necessary to show a hairy chest on screen.”

Expressing her views candidly, Atiqa added, “Women are constantly instructed to wear long sleeves and follow strict wardrobe rules. Why shouldn’t the same standards apply to men?”
Commenting on the same, an internet user wrote: “She is absolutely right. Waxing doesn't make you feminine.”
Another added: “She absolutely must take back her words, no one has the right to speak about someone like that bcz It's unacceptable and deeply hurtful.”

A social media user wrote: “ Don’t support body shaming but I love how one comment about a male celebrity’s appearance has the internet “divided.” Have you ever seen even one comment under any female celebrity’s post and all the comments this very show makes about women’s ages and appearances? Pakistan you need a hobby.”
A netizen added, “Lower your gaze then!
We can advocate women can wear anything and are not supposed to be judged similarly it applies to the other way around. Men can do the same as well.”
Another stated in the comment box: “Perfect, she is absolutely right.”
