Federal Constitutional Court restores five-day working week from June 15

The Federal Constitutional Court has decided to restore its five-day working week, ending the four-day schedule that was introduced under the government's austerity campaign, 24NewsHD TV on Friday.

According to an official notification, the five-day workweek will come into effect from June 15.

The notification was issued with the approval of Chief Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan.

The court has also restored its previous office timings from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm that were in place before the implementation of austerity measures.

The four-day working policy had been adopted as part of a broader cost-cutting and energy-saving drive.

With the latest decision, the Federal Constitutional Court will resume normal operations and working hours from next week.
