There is something 'fishy-fishy' in Senate security system!
No advertisement was placed in a newspaper for the recruitment of Wajahat Afzal, who was appointed Sergeant-at-arms (Senate security in-charge) under Rule 17 only on Thursday (March 11), one day before the crucial Senate elections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Quoting sources, the TV channel reported that Section Officer Zahoor Ahmed had issued the notification for the appointment of Afzal in the Senate Secretariat as a Grade-18 officer.
When Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Senator Musadik Malik asked the staff deputed at Senate hall about the spy cameras installed inside the polling booths, they expressed their ignorance about it.
They told the senator that no camera or a transmitter was attached to the election-related material, which was brought to the hall at 1 PM on March 11.
Meanwhile, Presiding Officer (PO) Muzaffar Shah has again prepared the polling booth.
He has also directed the secretary Senate to find out how and on whose orders spy cameras were installed inside the polling booths.
The secretary will submit his report to the incoming Senate chairman, he added.
